Had dinner here with friends and we were all impressed. The dishes tasted like real Italy – fresh, simple, and full of flavor. On top of that, the service was so warm and welcoming. It quickly became one of my favorite spots!

If you ever in Anzio, please forget about all the fancy places by the water. They are good but pricey. Trattoria Da Carlo is family owned small place, and nothing fancy but the food is great and cheap compare to other places. I would go there for food and their house wine. Seafood all the way. And they are ok with picky eaters like me 🙈👌❤️
Great and authentic! Very friendly chef and owner. We came off-season and we’re lucky to enjoy home-made bread, wine, and a fantastic fresh fish menu. We don’t even know if there is a variety of dishes as we just got what the chef recommended us! It’s a small but very nice place

Mi conoscete, posso assicurare che questo rapporto qualità prezzo non ha eguali da nessuna parte. Il pesce è fresco ed è quello che il cuoco cucina il giorno a pranzo o a cena. Turno unico, precisi con l'orario. All'una si pranza tutti insieme e a cena pure.
In quattro abbiamo preso tre menù perché sapevamo che le porzioni sarebbero state molto abbondanti.
Tre antipastini, il mitico polpo di Carlo, sauté di cozze e la razza locale a zuppetta, buonissima.
Per primo spaghetti alle vongole e spaghetti alle cozze.
Per secondo frittura di calamari e gamberi e orata arrosto con olio e prezzemolo. Per contorno abbiamo preso dell'insalata.
Acqua e vino. Il vino neanche l'abbiamo preso, acqua tantissima perché c'era comunque caldo.

The four of us took three menus because we knew that the portions would be very generous. Three appetizers, Carlo's legendary octopus, sautéed mussels and the local skate in soup, delicious. For the first course, spaghetti with clams and spaghetti with mussels. For the second course, fried calamari and shrimp and roasted sea bream with oil and parsley. For the side dish, we took a salad. Water and wine. We didn't even take wine, lots of water because it was hot anyway. I ate spaghetti alle vongole with gigantic clams, never seen so big. I had to photograph one as a souvenir. I definitely recommend it, but book in advance.

Seit 33 Jahren gehe ich mit Begeisterung ins Da Carlo in Anzio. Es gibt eine alte Verbindung zu dieser Trattoria, die nun von Toni und Fabio geführt werden. Heute war ich wieder dort, kurz bevor ich wieder nach Deutschland fliege. Ich war glücklich, dort essen zu können. Für mich sind Fabio und Toni ein perfektes Team.
